Creative Thinking

The Creative Thinking in Commercial Communications module is designed to explore the diverse facets of creativity and creative work.  Drawing on the psychological theories of creativity and interdisciplinary collaboration, the module explores the characteristics, traits, skills and competencies associated with creativity.  It looks at the principles and practices of creative collaboration, including the tools, methods and processes employed in creative communities of practice.

Specialist issues in collaborative creativity

The module involves 22 hours of synchronous learning sessions delivered as a bootcamp. The learning and teaching delivery is comprised of lectures, debates, discussion, participation, presentations and guest lectures. Throughout the module learners are encouraged to undertake independent reading to supplement and consolidate what is being learnt in class and to broaden their individual knowledge and understanding of the subject. Outside of class contact time the learner will access material or post contributions to the online learning platform, Brightspace.
